Should it be risen to the age of 21 like in America?
I think it should.
You don't hear much about drink driving & stuff as you do over here.
I think it'll be better making the legal age to drive & the legal age to drink further apart.
It will make the young driver(s) more aware of the risks involved whilst driving under the influence.
What do you all think?
Should the drinking age be risen to 21 or should it stay at the age of 18? |

The legal drinking age here is 21, but most folks get ahold of some kind of alcohol long before then.
I didn't know that there was any extreme problem with drunk driving - I thought it was a pretty rare occurrence everywhere. |

I think it should be raised also.
Far too much drink driving here but also there's nothing for the teenagers to do in this day and age so I think that's why they turn to drink. There should be something for them to do in the evenings. They should not be allowed into bars and if someone buys them drink, then that person should be cautioned or something. |

| The thing is you can raise it to 21 but it will not deter them from doing it. I know in Morrisons now you cannot buy alkiehole if you are under 25 years of age. |
